A student wrote to thank Rinpoche for his advice and for a mantra for spirit harm that she had found beneficial. The student’s letter and Rinpoche’s response are below.

Student's Letter

Dear Lama Zopa Rinpoche,
I hope that these words will reach you, these words written from my heart. I thank you for your advice, so easily accessible in your many books, on your advice page and otherwise on Facebook. Lama Zopa, I have had an experience because of your advice that has freed me from the burden of spirit harm. This burden has weighed heavily upon me for many years—maybe even for many lives. I am not an expert on reincarnation and my past lives remain in darkness for me, but what has happened to me cannot be an issue of debate.

I came across your mantra for spirit harm a while ago. I knew at once that here it is, what I have been looking for, what I have needed, but until that moment it was not revealed to me. A great gift was given when I saw the mantra, began reciting it and ultimately, learned it by heart. I can say this mantra whenever I feel heavy, when tired, when stressed, and a lightness and happiness floods my body and mind. This mantra has freed me. Many thanks. Blessings for your health. Blessings and humble thanks from your ever faithful ___

Rinpoche's response

My most dear, most kind, most precious, wish-fulfilling one,
Thank you very much for your kind letter and thank you very much for reciting the mantra, so continue and develop your Dharma understanding. That’s very, very good.

Dharma is the most important thing, more important than your job or money. Job and money came from Dharma, came from good karma. So Dharma is the most precious one.

Please continue to make your life most meaningful with the thought of bodhicitta day and night and in everything that you do.

With much love and prayers...
