Collected Teachings: Volume 3
Lama Thubten Yeshe
Edited by Uldis Balodis and compiled by Sandra Smith
Volume 3 of The Enlightened Experience features three discourses given by Lama Yeshe at the Sixteenth Kopan Meditation Course in 1983. These were Lama’s last public teachings before he tragically passed away in March 1984, so they have a special significance.
The first discourse is a question-and-answer session, in which Lama offers essential advice to students on how to integrate Dharma when they return to the West. In the second discourse Lama discusses many aspects of the path to enlightenment including refuge, the five lay precepts and the bodhisattva vows. In Lama’s final discourse he describes bodhicitta as a universal meditation and urges students to change the attitude of self-cherishing into a determination to hold others dear.
These teachings are also published on the Lama Yeshe Wisdom Archive website. The purpose of this ebook series is to gather the teachings into one central resource.
