Rinpoche gave the following advice to a student who wanted to get a job. This advice was on a handwritten card, and has been lightly edited for publication.

1) Recite the Barche Lamsel prayer [The Supplication to Guru Rinpoche Clearing the Obstacles on the Path] 110 times.

2) Write the Arya Sanghata Sutra.

3) Recite the prayer called Nangsi wongdu (?), Controlling the Appearances of Existence, five times every day, for your family and your brother’s wife to like you and to be harmonious.

4) Recite one mala of the following mantra each day, for success with your job. If you remember the mantra, even just that is purification. 

OM BI PULA GARBHE MANI PRA BHE / TA THA GATA DHARI SHANI / MANI MANI SUPRABHE BIMALA SANGARA GAMBHIRA HUM HUM JVALA JVALA / BUDDHA BILOKITE GUHYA / ADHISHTHITE GARBHE SVAHA / PADMA DHARA AMOGA JAYATI CHURU CHURU SVAHA
