This precious teaching was given by Buddha to King Indra at a time in the past when there was a danger of King Indra being defeated by asuras. King Indra was so frightened of being defeated, he went to ask Buddha for help, and Buddha gave this mantra called Jewel Pinnacle.

Benefits of the mantra
Having written down this mantra and then wearing it on the crown, doing daily recitation, or just even reading it eliminates all fears of dangers. It eliminates all the fears of that person [who recites it]. That person will be protected all the time and will be hidden. If one makes war, then one will have victory. It pacifies negative karma and bad dreams. It increases good luck and auspiciousness. The Buddha told the King of the Devas, “Therefore, because you desire to have victory, write this mantra down and wear it on the crown and always remember it. This is not only for war; this always takes away negative karma. Girls will receive sons. It protects children in the womb [if the mother wears this mantra on the crown, no miscarriages or spirit harm will occur.]  All the perfections will be done. It destroys all negative karmas. That is why this mantra is called 'turning away'."

Jewel Pinnacle, dispelling back, that which purifies all the negative karmas, which extremely pacifies all sicknesses, which pacifies all [obstacles and undesirable things], which collects all the merits, which fully reveals all the buddhas and bodhisattvas, which glorifies all the time. By writing the letters and revealing, reading, or keeping it, it protects self and others. Like that, when you do washing or do the burning practice [fire puja], it extremely pacifies all sicknesses of cold and all other harms [this can include chanting the mantra and then blowing on water and washing with that, or can include reciting this mantra while bathing and/or while doing the fire puja]. This is the zung, the mantra called Exalted Jewel of the Pinnacle.

I prostrate to the Buddha.
I prostrate to the Dharma.
I prostrate to the Sangha.

I prostrate to the seven perfectly enlightened buddhas along with the hearers/listeners, the Sangha intending virtue [liberation], and the bodhisattvas.
