In these preliminary teachings to the Kalachakra Initiation, His Holiness the Dalai Lama offers a clear and accessible introduction to foundational Buddhist principles. Given in Barcelona, Spain, in 1994, the teachings guide students through essential topics including the Four Noble Truths, meditation and insight, the four seals of Buddhism, the nature of mind, and the generation of the mind of enlightenment. The teachings were translated by Thupten Jinpa, and transcribed by Phillip Lecso from audiotapes obtained from QED Recording Services entitled Kalachakra for World Peace: Kalachakra Initiation Preliminary.
