Rinpoche's Thank-you Cards, Letters and Gifts

Thanking Students For Practice

Date Posted:

Rinpoche sent the following letter to nuns and students at a Dharma center, thanking them for their practice.

My very dear nuns and students,
First, I want to say many billions and zillions of thanks for putting so much effort into counting the mani mantras this year, and trying to fulfill my advice. Thank you very much for that. I dedicate the merits to all those who did the recitations. Again, I want to say thank you very much.

In Buddha’s teachings it mentions there are so many amazing benefits of developing compassion. It is so important, and the benefits are unbelievable. Without developing compassion for others, there is no enlightenment; this means for yourself, but also for the numberless sentient beings of each of the six realms.

You can see how important it is to develop compassion. For that you need to receive blessings from the special deity Chenrezig. Therefore, you need to do meditation on and recitation of Chenrezig, just having knowledge alone is not enough.

With much love and prayers...

Thanks For Helping

Rinpoche sent the following card to a student, along with a shawl.

 My most dear dearest one,
Thank you so much a billion times for living in this world, for kindly taking birth in this world, I don’t know where exactly, and becoming a Buddhist looking for enlightenment. A zillions thanks for that.

Trillions of thanks for helping Mickey Mouse me and helping others, and helping the teachings of the Buddha. You are an unbelievable one, benefiting more sentient beings through the teaching of the Buddha.

Please continue as extensively as possible to enlighten the world and all sentient beings. Please enjoy this shawl. I hope it has all the best feng shui.

With big love ...
