Merely Labelled Death; Exchanging Self For Others; Transforming Problems

So the purpose, or meaning of the life, one's own life, that is to free everyone from all the problems and causes, and to lead ultimate happiness, not just the temporary happiness but to lead in the ultimate happiness, the everlasting happiness, even among that to lead to the highest, peerless happiness, the best, the highest that which exists, that can be experienced, the state of mind, so the, perfected peace, or completed peace of mind, the state of mind that which completely purified from all the mistakes of the mind, the obscurations, these obstacles and the state of mind that which is completed in all the qualities, in all the realizations, so, however, to obtain extensive, to obtain benefit for all sentient beings, so that is the meaning of one's own life. Then, even there is benefit, extensive benefit, ultimate.

So the way to do this, in order to be able to do this, then one need to develop one's own mind, the pure quality or the good quality of the mind, one has to generate, one has to develop, the wisdom, that which is the wisdom knowing the ultimate nature, the reality, ultimate nature of the I, mind, so forth, ultimate nature of the I, ultimate nature of the aggregates, so then, the phenomena, then also wisdom knowing the conventional nature, what is right and what is wrong, what is the cause of happiness and what is the cause of problems, knowing these conventional natures. So, need to develop these wisdoms and method, the good heart, compassion, all those parts, one need to develop.

So, the purpose, as I mentioned yesterday, more details, the purpose of, to be alive, the purpose of surviving, the purpose to have the life, in other words, life, to continue the association of this body and mind, relating to us, association of this body and mind is the life, the body and mind being together, associated, so that is the life. So when they body and the mind, consciousness separates, when the consciousness leaves the body, that is the definition of what is called death, what is labeled death, what we label, what we make up, what our mind make up death, our concept make up death, what our mind, our concept make up, death. Depending on what we label death, that is just simply when the consciousness leaves the body, has left the body, then that our mind make up the label, death. So, that's all what it is, there is no death from its own side, there is no real death from its own side, it's something came from our mind, we created death that way. Our mind created death in that way, with a concept.

So there is real death from its own side as we believe or as it appears to us, as it appears to our hallucinated mind, not the death that which is merely labeled by the mind, not that death, which exists, but what appears to us is something else, a false death, which appears to us is something else, death which appears to us is something else, hallucination, a real death from its own side. Real death in the sense existing inherently, inherently existent death, that is not made up by the mind, that didn't come from the mind, something independent, concrete death.

So, death which is made up by the concept, which we made up the label appeared to us in the wrong way, in the false way, something concrete from its own side, something frightening, concrete, then we believe in that, then our hallucinated mind, wrong concept, then our mind believes in that, that it's true, then that's how we make the concept a wrong concept, that's how we make our mind wrong concept, hallucinated mind, because object what this mind believes, doesn't exist, it's not like that in reality. So, when we analyze what it is, what is death, when we really analyze scientifically, logically, it is not like that, how it appears and how we believe, the way we apprehend, it's not that, all these false views, not like that, you cannot find that way, you cannot discover the death in that way, by analyzing. When we do not analyze with wisdom, when we just leave the mind as it is in hallucination, things, when we leave the mind, so anyway, when we do not analyze, when we are not aware the reality, or when we do not practice awareness by analyzing, when we haven't realized this way, the reality of things, such as death like this, then the appearance what happens is the hallucination, and then also the belief, our belief, the way we believe things, is also in the wrong way. So, such this false appearance and false conception, which believes in that, so this is the one that which also makes us frightened, what produces fear is also by this, the hallucinated appearance and the concept.

So, however, so anyway, the point is that, the point that I'm trying to make is that, so, association of the body and mind is the life, when the body and mind is together there's life, when the body and mind is not, when the mind has left the body then the life is stopped. So, however...

...so therefore now the main purpose, the real meaning of continuing this life, keeping this continuation, the association of body and mind, that which is called life, the purpose of continuing this life, the purpose of survival, that is to benefit other sentient beings, to be able to, in order to benefit for other sentient beings, in order to generate altruism, the ego, only cherishing oneself, this ego is the creator of all the problems, from where all the disease, relationship problems, all the things, all the failures, from where it came, so all the happiness what we experience in the past, the present and what, all the good things what we have, what we experience, all the things, all the success, everything we receive by the kindness of other living beings, by depending on others' kindness, by depending on other living beings' existence, then we receive all this happiness.

So therefore, so the main purpose is that, to cherish other sentient beings, instead of cherishing oneself, the ego, instead of that, replace, cherishing other sentient beings. Instead of giving up other sentient beings, who are numberless, infinite, numberless, who are the source of all one's own past, present, future, all the enjoyments, all the happiness, so in the place of giving up all the others, who are so kind and so precious, more than precious jewel, that which grants wishes, all the material enjoyment, sense objects enjoyment. So, instead of renouncing all these others, numberless beings, so kind and so precious, source of all one's own three times happiness, then keeping the ego, cherishing oneself, that which is the source of all the problems, so changing this attitude, replacing the object, changing this attitude, so cherishing the others, who are the source of all one's own three times happiness, so kind and so precious, then renouncing the ego, that which, the self, from where all the problems, all the undesirable things come. So, changing this attitude, changing oneself in others, for others, exchanging oneself for others. So this one is the very root, the fundamental psychology which has depth, which takes out, which eliminates out the very root of the problem, the very root of our whole life problem, which takes out, which eliminates.

So, by transforming the mind in this attitude, cherishing other sentient beings, the kind, precious sentient beings, this way then all the obstacles are stopped, as there's no ego, so obstacles are stopped, obstacles or undesirable things, any relationship problems, and so forth, the health, anything, any problem becomes, any undesirable there is, it becomes, it is transformed, with this new mind, with this new thought, then, with this ultimate good heart then all these things are transformed into happiness, all these things become the path, transformed in the path to achieve the highest happiness, full enlightenment, in order to bring everyone to this peerless happiness, full enlightenment, or with this attitude then all these things are transformed in happiness, all these things appeared supporting, rather interfering, rather disturbing it is helping, so like this, transformed in happiness.

So however, therefore, then to develop this, this ultimate good heart for all sentient beings, to do service for all sentient beings, then one need long life and healthy, so, therefore I'm going to do the healing course. So this is the attitude that which makes the course, the meditation, the giving teaching, explaining, everything, most beneficial for every living being. [pause]

So, just a few words on this. So transforming the problems in happiness, supporting, benefiting, supporting, which means making beneficial for oneself and beneficial for all sentient beings, so this has two ways. Thought transformation, the conventional truth, the thought transformation of the absolute truth, two things.

So thought transformation, [pause] so, like this, the thought transformation has two, first of all, when there's a problem, to transform that in happiness, in the path. Then, when there's problems, like this. So when there's happiness, even when there's happiness in the life, then to make, the happiness in order not to become cause of problems, the happiness also to become meaningful, to become the path, beneficial for every living being, so there's two things, two thought transformations, one with problems, one even with happiness.

So now, then, now this has two things, doing thought transformation, depending on the conventional truth, then doing thought transformation depending on the ultimate truth. So doing thought transformation depending on the conventional truth or the truth of the all-obscuring mind, so this one, so then, so if one establishes the mind, looking at the life, looking at the undesirable conditions, however, looking at the life as a problem and then establishing the mind, dislike, on that. First of all looking at it as a problem, looking at the life as a problem, the situation, and then establishing the thought dislike on that.

So, as much as the mind, as much one as one become habituated with that and as much as this developed, as much as one get habituated with that, then this becomes stronger and stronger, stronger, then even minor things, even nonsense, even small matters, something very insignificant, that, if there's one, if one find lice or mosquito, something, or mouse going round, in the room, something, even one tiny insect one see in the room, that can't stand, it become huge problem, it become huge unbelievable problem to that person, can't stand, even by that it makes to move other place. So however, or such as, even the food didn't happen, even the way the bread is fixed or even it become a little bit cold or even the way it's done is a little bit, not exactly how one like to have, shape or color or whatever, then it becomes huge problem, so look at it a big problem, suffering, then establish great thought of dislike. So then, so such a small matter but huge anger rises or makes the life, such a small tiny thing makes the life so crazy.

However, so there are many things like this. So even a small thing becomes huge problem and when one got habituated with that, then most, in the life, whatever you see, what one hear, most, the appearances, whatever one see, whatever one hear, feel, then, become unpleasant, mostly become disturbing, so whatever, so most of the appearances become the undesirable, problem, and then become, it makes to create the negative action, cause of unhappiness, and the unhappy mind, negative thought, it makes to rise negative thought, so, then this way, then appearances become enemy, one's own appearance become enemy. So like this, then very difficult to find happiness in the life, so difficult to find comfort in the life.

So however, then we have to, the way to seek happiness, the way to transform the problems in happiness, or the way to obtain happiness is, while one has a problem, the way to obtain happiness or to transform into happiness is then, has to be done with these two thoughts, the stopping the thought looking at it problem and establishing dislike, then, establishing the thought, looking at it as pleasure, happiness, and then establishing the thought, like. With these two thoughts, then we have to obtain happiness or transform the problem into happiness. So I stop here.

So whatever positive action that we did, we dedicate the merits. May the altruism, source of all the happiness, for oneself, for all living beings to be generated within one's own mind, in the minds of all living beings, then may it be developed.
